Overton Graduates from Allen College with honors

Chase Overton of Vinton received a Bachelor if Science in Nursing with Magna Cum Laude honors  from Allen College. The College awarded 45 degrees during its commencement ceremony on Friday, August 14.Allen College conferred 4 Bachelor of Health Sciences degrees, 38 Bachelor of Science in Nursing degrees and 3 Master of Science of Nursing degrees.

Ellsworth Community College releases 2019-20 Graduate Names including Swailes

On Friday, May 8, graduates of Ellsworth Community College took their next step as they became alumni of the College. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, MCC was unable to have a ceremony to honor the graduates. Graduates include those that completed their degree or diploma work during the winter 2019 term and spring and summer 2020 terms.Graduates are listed by their hometown, followed by the degree/diploma awarded (AA is Associate of Arts, AS is Associate of Science, AGS is Associate of General Studies and AAS is Associate of Applied Science), and the students' majors.

Bayer Fund provides grant to Benton Community FFA

The America’s Farmers Grow Communities program, sponsored by Bayer Fund, partners with farmers to provide grants to local nonprofits to help their communities.Through the program, farmers enroll for the chance to direct a $2,500 donation to a local eligible nonprofit organization of their choice. The America’s Farmers programs have given more than $57 million to rural America since 2010.

Mount Mercy University congratulates 2020 Summer graduates

Lariviere among 2020 Iowa Medical Society Foundation Award Recipients

During the 2020 IMS President's Inaugural Reception and Awards Program on Friday, July 10, the Iowa Medical Society awarded the following individuals and organizations for their commitment and dedication to the medical community. The Washington Freeman Peck Award: awarded to Accessibility for All - an organization based in Cedar Rapids that works to increase access to the political process for people with disabilities, their advocates, and allies.

Payton Haefner Receives the Fareway Family Scholarship

 Payton Haefner, a graduate of Vinton-Shullsburg High School, has been awarded the Fareway Family Scholarship through the Iowa Grocers Education Foundation for the 2020-2021 academic year. Haefner was chosen for the $2,000 scholarship from an applicant pool of more than 400 students.  IGEF scholarships are awarded based on academic merit to sons and daughters of full-time employees whose firms are members of the Iowa Grocery Industry Association, a state trade association that represents the food industry, including chain and independent supermarkets, convenience stores, suppliers, wholesalers, brokers, manufacturers and distributors.
